Court arrests Petropavlovsk ex-CEO Maslovsky over embezzlement
MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested on Friday co-founder and former CEO of Russia’s fifth gold producer Petropavlovsk Pavel Maslovsky on accusations of embezzlement, spokeswoman for the court Olga Bondareva told PRIME.
"The court has satisfied a request of the investigator to choose taking into custody as the prevention measure for Maslovsky," Bondaryova said.
Maslovsky can face 10 years in prison if the charges are proven.
Petropavlovsk’s offices were searched and a company official assumed that they are related to the people “who are no longer have a position in the company.”
